I bought this Chevelle in April of 2014 following a frame off restoration in late 2013. It was restored with a 396 BBC which I drove for the entirety of last season - approximately 1250 miles. This spring I had the engine pulled and commissioned TriStar Engines out of Baldwin, WI to build me a new 496 Stroker BBC. The engine was tuned/dynoed and produces 622 horsepower and 621 ft-lbs of torque. I have the dyno sheet that confirms these numbers. While the engine was being installed, I took the opportunity to install a number of new components to ensure the overall vehicle could handle the dramatic increase in power. All work was done professionally by United Auto Body LLC out of Eau Claire, WI.

Franklins were all air cooled and this particular one is equipped with over drive so that you can tour at highway speeds. It also sports a lalique mascot that is lighted.
